Glen Campbell – “Wichita Lineman”

Glen Campbell playing “Wichita Lineman” live on Later with Jools Holland! What a class act that guy was. This particular video of WL is one of the better ones we’ve seen in terms of  Glen’s guitar playing. He was a highly talented, experienced musician, and his years of working as a session guitarist as a member of “The Wrecking Crew” shaped him into a very polished professional, not to mention built up his chops…yes Glenn Campbell had chops! He was technically a badass, but he was so much more than that, a truly well-rounded artist. He was most well known for being a country musician, but he is one of those artists that is hard to really pin down to one genre, as his versatility and the range of styles he played crossed over into different genres than just country. The focus was always on his guitar playing, but he was clearly a talented singer, as well, with excellent range. If you enjoyed this video of Wichita Lineman, be sure to check out
